Kalkaska Privacy Notice

This notice describes what information may pass through this private reference resource, why it is used, and the choices available to visitors.

Information Sent to Services

Search entries

A name, place, or other term entered into an embedded search tool is sent to the independent provider operating that tool. Kalkaska County Busted Mugshots does not keep those search entries on its own systems.

Messages

An email or message sent to the operators may be kept only as long as needed to answer, maintain a record of the exchange, or comply with law. It is not sold.

Technical Data and Cookies

When a page loads, hosting, analytics, advertising, or security services may receive standard technical details. These can include:

  • IP address
  • Browser and device type
  • Operating system
  • Pages viewed and time spent
  • Referring page when available
  • Access date and time

Cookies and similar tools help measure use, remember settings, and support advertising. Browser controls can limit or block them, although a feature may then behave differently.

How Information Is Used

Information may be used to operate the pages and keep the resource useful, including to:

  • Send a submitted search to the selected partner provider
  • Measure page performance and demand
  • Find technical faults and security issues
  • Respond to a message
  • Show advertising that may use interest signals

Outside Links and Recipients

Links point to the Kalkaska Sheriff, Village Police, MiCOURT, MDOC, MSP, BOP, ICE, courts, and other resources. Their privacy rules apply after a visitor leaves this resource. Michigan FOIA, MCL 15.231 through 15.246, governs requests to public bodies, not these private data practices.

Data may be handled by search partners, analytics providers, advertising networks, hosting or security vendors, and law-enforcement or government bodies responding to a valid legal order. Personal information is not sold.

Security and Age Limits

Reasonable safeguards are used, but no internet service can promise perfect security or prevent every unauthorized access event. The resource is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect information from people under 18. A parent or minor may ask for deletion of information supplied by a minor.

Visitor Choices

Subject to applicable law and practical limits, a visitor may ask what personal information is held, request a correction, seek deletion where available, or object to certain processing. Requests may be sent through Contact Us.
